Blondie have announced additional dates for their 2022 'Against the Odds' tour, featuring British punk legends The Damned.
blondie also play back a series of UK dates in April and May before embarking on a tour with The Damned. Johnny Marr will appear as a special guest in place of Garbage, who had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts.
Blondie and The Damned also will perform at the Cruel World Festival in Pasadena in May with the likes of Morrissey, Devo, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Psychedelic Furs, Violent Femmes and more.
In 2014 drummer Clem Burke has hinted that the band's touring days are coming to an end:
As for the rumors about the last tour, we decided that we will live forever, he told Uncut at the time. But Debbie [Harry] is older than me and hinted that it was time. Obviously, without her, Blondie does not exist.
Since then the group went to several tours, including a joint performance with Elvis Costello in 2019.
Advance sale of tickets for the August concerts will be available from March 2 at Ticketmaster, and on March 4 on sale will appear tickets for the general public.
