Melancholic and viscous the album “Like air, like water” (2022) evokes longing and sadness for bygone and carefree times. In this album, the band changed their sound somewhat, which fans noticed almost from first notes. Instead of the usual melody in style minimalism the album is characterized by a seven-piece orchestra. It should be noted that Dutch Steering Wheel is the first Russian-speaking group that has chosen to work in the genre slowcore. This genre appeared in the nineties and was not popular until a certain time. Members of the group explain the choice similar genre in that it is closest to them, it is able to convey those thoughts and feelings that the group wants to convey to their listeners.
