How the composition was formed
"Dune" was educated in 1987 year Sergei Katin (bass) and Dmitry Chetvergov (guitar) however Victor Rybin claims that he and Katin, his old friend, created the group ... Actually, let's not stray from the topic. So, in addition to the mentioned persons, the drummer Andrey Shatunovsky and vocalist Andrey Rublev (later they will leave the group). The already mentioned Rybin became the director, however, according to Wikipedia, Viktor Viktorovich calls this information “complete nonsense”.
The group initially worked in Moscow Regional Philharmonic and played hard rock - a very fashionable genre of music at that time ... However, popularity bypassed them until Rybin and Katin did not catch the mood of the public and did not decide to change the musical style of "Dune".

A curious fact, but at first Katin sold his creation Larisa Dolina! She performed "Limonia" in a rock arrangement as part of the Musical Ring program, but its version was not so popular ... Later, the group re-recorded Limonia, including balalaika in the arrangement, after which Dune and the Valley became a kind of enemy (their hostility continued until the end 90s...) However, this no longer mattered after the song got into the Musical Elevator program: "Country Limonia" instantly became a big hit! The song was very liked by domestic listeners, and over time it completely became the hallmark of the team ...
A new decade has begun for "Dunes" with new victories! The group was invited to close the Soundtrack festival in the Olympiysky ... Having performed their signature song, the young team received wild applause! Unfortunately, not everything went so smoothly ... Very soon (due to post-Soviet censorship), Dune was denied access to television. And cost them a song "Drink, Vanya, don't get sick!" sound on the channel "2x2", as the leadership "had lost their heads"!
