5 Facts About Pink Floyd's Hit Have a Cigar

1. The composition features the vocals of Roy Harper, who recorded at the same studio with Pink Floyd. Here's what David Gilmour had to say about it:

“Roger tried to sing, but he didn't like his performance. Then they asked me to try. I agreed, but I was not comfortable. I had nothing against the lyrics. Maybe the range and intensity didn't suit my voice. I distinctly remember Roy leaning against the wall near Abbey Road as we chatted and (growls) "Come on, let me try, let me try." We told him: "Shut up, Roy." But in the end we agreed: "Then come on, Roy, sing the hell out." Most of us liked his version, although I don't think Roger ever liked it."
