The history of the conflict between CC Ketch and Dieter Bohlen

The songs of CC Catch (CC Catch) have remained in the hearts of many Eurodisco lovers. But how is the queen living now and why did she have to shell out millions to buy back the rights to her stage name? About this in our article.

What tests did the star of the 80s CC Ketch go through in a relationship with Dieter Bohlen?

CC Catch (real name Caroline Muller) is a singer known all over the world. People even now listen with pleasure and appreciate her songs: for example, "Strangers by Night", Cause You Are Young, "Heaven and Hell". But what had to be sacrificed, through what tests pass Carolina to succeed?

Caroline Müller was born and lived in The Netherlands instead of with my mother. As a profession she chooses to be designer, at the same time it works seamstress at the factory. In a few years, she will remember this time as "the most terrible in life ": the girl worked in terrible conditions, more than 10 hours a day, listening to the constant complaints and discontent of the senior masters. The future star could no longer endure it and resigned. But she was sure of what she wanted to do - music! Carolina did not miss a single competition, not a single TV show, mastered the game On guitar, studied jazz music.

Father Juergen Müller supported his daughter's aspirations and did everything to fulfill her dream: quitting his job, he spent all the money on creating his own musical agencies. Moreover, he became daughter's managerto conquer show business with her.

In 1980, Carolina became one of the members of the female pop group "Optimal". During the concert, a girl at one of the performances is interested in Dieter Bohlen - the famous composer and singer, member of the group "Modern Talking". He offered a 21-year-old girl cooperation, as he was amazed "diamond" Carolina voice. The girl immediately signs with him the contract and Bohlen starts recording it in his studio.

At the same time, Carolina meets a drummer Frank Otto, which in the future will greatly affect her fate. Love develops between them. Feelings develop rapidly and in less than a month of dating a couple is coming! Otto replaces Father Caroline at her post manager.

Dieter Bohlen invented Nickname for Carolina CC Catch (by the first letters of her names Caroline and Catharina), composed her hit songs, which was an exact guarantee of success and fame. It can be said that their collaboration was fruitful and successful - release 4 famous albums and 12 disturbing songs. Everything was going perfectly until the moment when Carolina decided not to work. one

Having declared this to Bohlen (and he was very unhappy with this), Carolina understands that she urgently needs to leave her producer, which she does. An angry Dieter Bohlen vows to ruin her career.

Prohibition of the use of a pseudonym and songs

At first, the girl has trouble using her alias "C.C. Ketch". Dieter Bohlen, arguing that the pseudonym is his idea, forbids Caroline use it. Court confirmed his words. Carolina lost not only her pseudonym, but also right perform songswritten by Dieter. The girl had to pay Bohlen a lot a large sum money - $ 5 million - to come to at least some agreement.

Betrayal of a loved one

But on large monetary losses, the problems of the girl not over. Her young man - Frank Otto - chose a career instead of her. Bohlen offered him a place drummer in his group. Even when Frank found out about pregnancy sweetheart, he didn't change his mind. Moreover, he stated that he had nothing to do with her current state, and Carolina, finally desperate, did abortion. This action greatly influenced her later life: she still does not have children, and this is one of the reasons for her sadness.

Loss of popularity

As for her career as a singer, which the fearless Carolina decided to restore herself, but not without failures. Having lost the support of the famous producer, Carolina took only 26th with her new album - although before that her work had always been in the top five.

CC Ketch didn't give up. Carolina has always been very popular, and concert tickets sold out very quickly. The singer also performed in the USSR (in 1990), where she was joyfully greeted by the public. The girl needed a rest, so Karolina for a while suspended their performances.

Long awaited reconciliation

In the early 2000s, Carolina, who again wanted to make music, again contacted with Dieter Bohlen. They started working together again, but not for long. But the two singles that they recorded after the reconciliation became very popular - they were "Shake your head" and "Silence".

No one, not even Dieter Bohlen himself, could destroy the life of CC Ketch ... The singer, despite all the obstacles and problems, was able to continue her career. It is believed that she released her most popular songs in the 80s. Now CC Ketch has already turned 57 years old, but she is also in great shape and enjoys life. When asked about ways to maintain youth and attractiveness, she answers smiling: “It’s all about in love!”

Carolina still enjoys great popularityespecially in our country. She is remembered and loved for her dance hits, and today many listen to them with pleasure. But her way to the peak of popularity difficult and sometimes very violent.

Now CC Catch, between work and tour, is engaged in yoga and meditation, composes songsengaged in the protection of animals and the environment.
