How Yaroslav Yakubchuk conquered the British show
His name is Yaroslav Yakubchuk, he is 11 years old. He was born in Russia but now lives in London. Not so long ago, he participated in the show "Voice. Children" in Russia, where Valery Meladze, Nyusha (Anna Shurochkina) and Dmitry Bilan sat on the jury. Yaroslav reached the stage of blind auditions in our show, but none of the judges turned around ... The episode was not even shown on the first channel (reason below). In the comments on YouTube, there is still a heated discussion of what happened: the topic of brain drain and the emigration of talented people abroad is relevant today more than ever...
A little about the rules of the show “Voice.Children. UK"...
The application for participation in the first audition is closed on September 2, 2016. Age limit - 7-14 years. The show launched in August 2016. All over the UK there were selections. The first blind auditions aired in December 2016.
The competition consists of four stages:
Stage 1: Blind Auditions
Stage 2: Fights
Stage 3: Semi-finals
Stage 4: Final
In the first series, the winner received £30,000 and a family trip to Disneyland Paris. Unlike adult shows, there is no knockout stage.
To get into the Voice.Children show, a child needs to pass a few more qualifying tests. Yaroslav did it easily, because after the "Russian show" he had a huge experience ... It is more difficult to pass the qualifying stages in Russia (author's opinion) than in the UK. Of course, it is very difficult to forget such a stupid "failure", but Yaroslav did not forget him. He trained hard and practiced his voice. At the time of the performance in London, he already felt much more confident, and his voice became more powerful than before!
In the English version of the Voice.Children show, the judges are: will.i.am, Danny Jones and Pixie Lott. When they heard the first notes, they were shocked by Yaroslav's voice! He was so childish that will.i.am turned around almost immediately! The rest of the judges, of course, also turned, only a little later: they bathed in this sound and caught every note! Here is the difference...
Perhaps it was just that our judges in the show "Voice. Children" had nothing to teach Yaroslav?
In the UK, Yaroslav reached the final of the competition, but did not become the winner ... However, serious British musicians and producers drew attention to him: they noticed him and will work with him!
The producer of the Russian show "Voice.Children" Yuri Aksyuta said that he was happy for Yaroslav, and called the success of the young performer expected. According to him, Yaroslav's speech was not shown on the air, because by the time of his speech, the teams of mentors had already been recruited. Therefore, the boy was offered to try himself next season ... Yaroslav went to London.
