2022 Keshi's lyric single "Touch": official music video
In the music video for the single "Touch." singer-songwriter Keshi spends the day in Malibu, finding inspiration in moments of intimacy. The alternative pop song will appear on his upcoming debut album "Gabriel."which is due out in 2022 on a label Island Records.
In the single "Touch," Keshi explores the complexity of communication, trying to make sense of mixed feelings during a complicated romantic relationship:
"If you want me, say you want me / Treading softly, on my body while you tell me / That you're taking it slow, but you're pulling me close / If I bow to the throne, is it better than us?"
Which translates to:
"If you want me, tell me you want me / Softly treading my body while you tell me / That you do it slowly, but you draw me closer / If I bow before the throne, is that better than us?"
A music video, directed by Sebastian Sdeigi Effectively captures the subtle moments of uncertainty in a relationship filled with tension, encapsulated in backseats, abandoned bedrooms and elevated views of the city.
"Touch" will be the second single Gabrielle will share after last year's lead single "Somebody.". It was co-produced with the album's executive producer Eli Rizkom, who also helmed the latest single. Keshi first introduced "Touch." a live audience on tour with LANY.
Keshi said in an interview Bandwagon Asia in 2021:
"As I grew as a musician, more and more I lost sight of the point of music for me. It's about creating a sound that's enjoyable to listen to - not everything has to be in this dark, brooding atmosphere. I'm something more than that genre, and that's what I'm trying to prove in this mixtape."
The musician added:
"I have a very diverse range that I just didn't put out because I felt that fans really liked that type of music, but with the new album I really want to make the music that I want to make at the moment and I'm excited for everyone to hear it."
