Despite the fact that Flint was the author and performer of many of their songs, he also had his own band Flint, with whom he recorded the album "Device #1". In addition, the musician owned Team Traction Control, a multiple winner of the Isle of Man TT! And his most memorable hit was definitely "Firestarter"...

For his fans, Flint will forever be that quirky guy, replete with bright hair, thick eyeliner and lots of tattoos... The guy who fought hard against addiction and the guy who changed the course of musical history... Keith Flint was found dead in his home after how, apparently, finished with all this ... Keith Flint was born in London on September 17, 1969. The atmosphere in the family was very tense ... As his colleague in The Prodigy Leroy Thornhill, a dancer and keyboardist who stayed in the group until the early 2000s, once said in an interview in 1997, there were many conflicts between Keith and his father. Apparently, his father was a successful consulting engineer and had high hopes for his son. As a result, he didn't like Keith's spiky hair and his passion for motorcycling...

The main problem in childhood and the life of the singer was dyslexia. Although tests showed that he had a high IQ, he had difficulty concentrating at school. He also had a bad temper, which caused his parents to send him to a special school, where, as Keith himself said, the staff used hypnosis to make him "normal". Ultimately, his rebellious behavior at school, coupled with his explosive relationship with his father, Clive, led to the "intelligent dyslexic boy" being expelled from school at 15. He then worked as a roofer in the UK and as a market trader in Israel. Returning home, Flint was on the street ... Fortunately, he had good friends who agreed to shelter poor Flint. Thanks to this event, Keith discovered the world of dance music...

Given a difficult childhood and adolescence, Flint never thought about a career. When he returned to the UK, he moved in with friends. At that time he spent a lot of time dancing at The Barn in Braintree. It was there that he began to develop his dance moves. There he met DJ Liam Howlett, a future fellow member of The Prodigy. Their meeting took place in the late 80s, in a rave club where Flint and his friends came to have fun and have fun! The music played by Howlett fascinated Flint to such an extent that he even asked the DJ for a cassette with his tracks! After listening to her, Flint returned to Liam: he convinced Howlett that it was time for him to perform his tracks already on stage! Flint offered his services, as well as those of his friend Leeroy Thornhill, as dancers for the show. So, with the onset of a new decade, the world learned about a new group: The Prodigy. Later, MC Maxim Reality joined their line-up, who also became an integral hero of the cult band ...

In 1996, Keith left his job as a dancer and became the lead singer of the group, showcasing his vocal skills on Firestarter. The next single was "Breathe" with his vocals and Maxim's vocals. Flint also performed "Serial Thrilla" and "Fuel My Fire". By the way: the album The Fat of the Land itself, within which the mentioned hit tracks were released, became the most significant and in many ways defining for the dance group ... In just 3 weeks, more than 2 million copies were sold worldwide! So, The Fat of the Land turned out to be not only the best-selling, but also the most anticipated release of 1997 ...

As for "Baby's Got a Temper", the track reflects the punk influences that Flint himself was experiencing at that time ... Howlett would later comment on this song as one of the most "uncharacteristic" for The Prodigy.

By the way: at the same time, disagreements arise between Flint and Howlett. As you can imagine, that's why Keith's vocals are missing from "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned"... Flint participated in the recording of "Omen", "Colors" and other tracks from Invaders Must Die. He also performed 7 songs for The Day Is My Enemy, including the tracks "Nasty" and "Rok-Weiler".

No Tourists features Flint's "We Live Forever", "Champions Of London" and "Give Me A Signal". Keith's last show with The Prodigy was at the Trusts Arena in Auckland in early 2019...

During the time that The Prodigy ascended to the Olympus of fame, Flint's image also changed: from short pink hair to double Mohican. His eyeliner, his piercings and his tattoos completed the look that was a staple of the show... In one of his early interviews, the musician said:

"I've been screaming with my body for the last six years, so now it's time to scream with my mouth!"

In addition to The Prodigy, Flint had his own musical project "FLINT", which released the only album "Device #1" and the only commercial single "AIM 4":

Concert on Red Square...

The Prodigy came to Russia more than once, but their most legendary performance in our country was the 1997 concert in Moscow! According to rough estimates, about 250,000 people came to the show! Everything happened on Manezhnaya Square, at the end of September... And to this day, after so many years, the participants of those events remember this performance as something stunning and delightful at the same time... The Prodigy was something definitely new and attractive for post-Soviet Russia!

Speaking quite frankly, it was not only the concert of the group, but also the global festival of snowboarders Ballantine's Urban High, which ended with a spectacular performance of the dance group! That night, Red Square turned into a global platform with a crowd of a quarter of a million ... There are very few such stories about our fatherland ...

Before the beginning of the 2000s, the musician was in a relationship with TV presenter Gail Porter. However, this has not been officially proven or recorded. He had another passion - motorcycling. The musician also loved animals and gardening. In 2014, he became a landlord, buying and renovating the Leather Bottle pub in Pleshi.

He died, but the legacy that he left - songs, videos, and most importantly emotions that will remain with listeners for life - will live forever.
