Содержание
Today you are waiting for an amazing selection of Soviet hits, loudly played from TV screens... All these songs became timeless masterpieces, which are so pleasant to enjoy even today, after so many decades... So: these are the best songs from Soviet films! Enjoy listening...
"About Friendship" (from the film Winter Evening in Gagra)
"Winter Evening in Gagra" is a musical drama by Karen Shakhnazarov, in which this famous composition is heard... What is remarkable is that the song "About Friendship" (or simply "Friendship") was sung by Vadim Kozin back in the 30s! That is - about 50 years after the film's release... The film's authors decided to change the text, in particular - the chorus after the second verse:
Original:
"The fun of the hour and the pain of separation.
Ready to share with you always.
Let's shake hands,
And away for many years to come..."
Remodelled version:
"The hour of merriment will come to us again.
You'll be back, and that's when
Then let's give each other the floor,
That we'll be together, together forever..."
It's worth noting that their version is more positive and inspiring... Actually - it's all purely a matter of taste and colour as they say. At first the song was almost excluded from the tape! But Iosif Kobzon insisted on the contrary, for which I thank him very much....
"Keep your noses up, gardemarines" (from the film Gardemarines, Go!)
The lyrics of this wonderful song were written by Yuri Ryashentsev, and the encouraging music was written by Viktor Lebedev...
"By the will of fate did this happen?
Or is it our temperament?
Why would the three of you, pray tell.
Such a multitude of enemies?"
"Uno momento" (from the film Formula of Love)
The legendary melodrama Formula of Love, released in 1984, was directed by Mark Zakharov from a script by Grigory Gorin. To record a suitable soundtrack, Zakharov invited Gennady Gladkov: at first, the composer had two tasks - a romance for the landowner Alexei and the theme to which Count Cagliostro would first appear in the film.
However, in the course of the work, another tune became necessary - for the servants of Jacob and Margadon! In fact, the director of the film himself:
"I really tired Gladkov then... I was about to leave when it struck me: "Gena, we urgently need a song for the servants!" - I shouted. He replied, "I have no idea what you want..." Then he opened the piano and struck the keyboard with all his fingers! And then he sang "Uno, uno, uno, uno, un momento!" That was what it was all about..."
"Help Me" (from "The Diamond Hand")
The sound of this delightful song was given by the equally delightful Aida Vedischeva: no sooner had she returned from her tour than she was called for filming! Let's give her the floor:
"I arrived at the studio at midnight, and I saw the following picture in front of me: a big red carpet with a bottle of alcohol in the centre, and Gaidai, Nikulin and Mironov sitting around it. They offer me a drink, and I say: "Did you come here to sing or drink?" And by morning everything was already recorded..."
The most interesting thing is that despite the director's dissatisfaction with Vedischeva's candidature, the song was recorded from the first time! That's how it is: one take - and it's been playing for years.....
"We Choose" (from the film Big Break)
This romance is also known as "Black and White": in the film, the composition was performed by Svetlana Kryuchkova...
"...Often the simple things seem feisty to us
Black is white, white is black..."
"Your Nobility, Mistress Luck" (from the film White Sun of the Desert)
The most remarkable thing is that throughout the film the theme song of this very composition is played... The hit song was written by a duo: Bulat Okudzhava and Isaac Shvarts. It is often called "Vereshchagin's Song", because in the film the song is sung by customs officer Vereshchagin (played by Pavel Luspekaev).
Isaac Schwartz composed music for more than 100 films! However... it was this melody that became his greatest success... As the composer himself said, he wrote this music with the idea that it was Luspekaev who would sing.
"I like it" (from The Irony of Fate, or With Easy Steam)
Another beautiful composition on our list performed by the inimitable Alla Borisovna Pugacheva...
"I like that you're not sick of me,
I like that you're not the one who's sick,
That never the heavy globe of the earth,
Won't float away under our feet..."
"The Fortune Teller" (from the film Ah, vaudeville, vaudeville)
Well, everyone knows this hit - regardless of age or musical preferences... With the release of the film, this composition became a big hit! Subsequently, it was performed by many artists (and continues to be performed to this day!).
"Well, what can I say, well, what can I say,
That's the way people are,
Want to know, want to know,
Want to know what's going to happen!"
In the film, the song was performed by Zhanna Rozhdestvenskaya and Lyudmila Larina!
"Smuglyanka - Moldavanka" (from the film Only Old Men Go Marching Into Battle)
This is not just a gorgeous addition to the film... It is one of the most popular pieces of music in Russia! The song was part of a suite written by composer Anatoly Novikov and poet Yakov Shvedov in 1940.

In the film, the composition is performed by Murad Sadykov...
"The train will go to Tikhoretskaya" (from The Irony of Fate, or With a Light Ferry)
And again a song from "The Irony of Fate", and again performed by the delightful Alla Pugacheva....
When Eldar Ryazanov decided to include this song in his cult New Year's Eve film, he had no idea who the music belonged to! Later it turned out that the composer was Mikael Tariverdiev: then Ryazanov invited him to record the rest of the romances!
