The Ed Sullivan Show's YouTube channel The Ed Sullivan Show has delighted fans of music from the 60s and 70s by publishing a playlist called "The Sound of Music"
The channel features multitude various versions of signature songs, including Eddie Fisher's "My Favorite Things" (1965), Supremes (1966), Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass (1968) and Hollywood Bowl Cast (1970), featuring duets by Cass Elliott and Johnny Mathis, Shirley Jones and Herschel Bernardi, Ginny S. Riley and Minnie Pearl, and John Davidson with the Lennon sisters.
In addition, in one of the specialised productions organised by The Ed Sullivan Show, a tribute to Rodgers and Hammerstein in 1970, includes a spectacular performance of "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" performed by the Hollywood Bowl Cast, which was originally broadcast from this famous venue. UMe uploads new videos every day to "The Ed Sullivan Show" official YouTube channel and EdSullivan.com. They feature famous clips, many of which have not been shown in decades.
"The Sound of Music" with musically Richard Rodgers, with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russell Krauss, won five Oscars at the 38th Academy Awards, including Best Director, Best Music and Best Picture.
