1. Noel had to apologise for his remarks towards Blur
When Oasis were at the height of their popularity, their rivals were Blur, another very popular 90's rock band based in the UK. Then, apparently in a fit of anger, Noel Gallagher said in an interview: "...I hope the members of Blur get AIDS and die...".
Of course, such a statement caused a storm of indignation in the media! Soon Noel had to write an official letter of apology, which subsequently found its way onto the pages of dozens of publications.
2. One of the Oasis tracks was played by... Johnny Depp himself
That Johnny Depp wanted to be a rock star rather than an actor when he was young, many of you probably know... But did you know that the "famous pirate" played in one of the Oasis tracks?
Yes, yes, Johnny Depp plays slide guitar in "Fade In-Out", a track from the album Be Here Now (1997). By the way: the Gallagher brothers met the actor at one of the parties held at Mick Jagger's villa!

In 1996, the band played at Knebworth House until very late in the evening...
Oasis have broken the record for the most sought after concerts in UK history! Some 2,500,000 people applied for tickets for their two shows at Knebworth House!
4. Some of the band's vinyl records became bestsellers
Despite the fact that compared to The Beatles and Queen - Oasis are considered a fairly young band, some of their releases are worth a lot of money....
So, for example, you can buy their live release Familiar To Millions (2000) for about £300 (about 30,000 roubles)!
5. Many popular bands have admitted that Oasis are their idols
If Oasis themselves drew inspiration from bands such as The Beatles, The Stone Roses, The Sex Pistols - their music became the inspiration for a relatively new rock wave: Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Maroon 5, Coldplay, The Strokes.
