Let's dive into the musical world of the game Cyberpunk 2077 (Cyberpunk 2077). We have collected all the songs and all the music in one place just for you! You can listen to songs from radio stations and songs from the game online in the full list of Cyberpunk 2077 soundtracks. Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the coolest games of 2020. This is not only the latest project from the studio behind the brilliant Witcher video game series, but also the wildly popular Cyberpunk tabletop RPG franchise, considered by many fans of the genre to be one of the world's best in world building and storytelling.
Considering that the Cyberpunk universe contains enough stuffing for several books, it's understandable that you're a little too excited before diving into this Cyberpunk 2077 world for the first time. So while we could spend weeks completely destroying the history of everything that related to Cyberpunk, here's a quick primer on some of the more notable parts of Cyberpunk 2077 history and the larger history of the Cyberpunk universe.
History of the cyberpunk world in 2077
Up to a certain point, the history of Cyberpunk 2077's world echoes our own in many ways (give or take some obvious deviations in terms of certain historical events and characters). However, this all changes by 1990.
Around this time, the United States stepped up its war against drug cartels and corrupt governments in Central America. Their desire to win the war on drugs becomes so strong that they even resort to forms of chemical warfare. Such tactics not only encourage former allies to condemn the US, but also encourage the most powerful cartels to enter the US drug war. In 1993, the cartel can even detonate a nuclear device in New York.
In 1994, the global market crash and another nuclear incident in Pittsburgh sent the United States into even more disarray. Corporations began to take over more aspects of United States life (including control of agricultural production) in an attempt to stabilize an increasingly uncertain world. However, the situation somehow worsens in 1996 when the President and Vice President of the United States are assassinated.
As various gangs grow across the country in response to this incredible shift in power structure, the NSA, CIA, FBI and DEA form the Gang of Four, and the US Secretary of Defense claims executive power to declare martial law. We hope this does not come as a surprise, but this move was not successful. More and more gangs are popping up in the United States as officials try to keep up with the frenzy. Around the same time, various natural and unnatural disasters are killing millions and prompting several states (including California) to secede.
That's when more and more corporations come running and using their resources (which now include private armies in most cases) to effectively enforce control over what's left of the United States and many other parts of the world. However, instead of bringing peace, these corporations soon start new wars with each other for optimal business opportunities.
Somewhere along the way, advances in technology have provided humans with the ability to enhance themselves with various cybernetic implants. While these implants are primarily used by gangs, soldiers, and operatives, they have also found their way into everyday life. This mismatch between available technology and the horrors of the world (as well as some serious gaps in financial equity) is why you see some areas that look incredibly advanced and "futuristic" next to areas that seem dangerously underdeveloped. This is the rough state we find the world in at the start of Cyberpunk 2077.
So... it's time to move on to the music! Enjoy and listen: a complete list of songs from the game Cyberpunk 2077 (Music from Cyberpunk 2077) ...
