Soundtracks from "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" reissued on vinyl
The soundtracks for Terry Gilliam's cult film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas were re-released on vinyl in summer 2019 to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the film's release. Such a gift to movie fans and collectors was made by the Geffen label.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is an adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's psychedelic novel starring Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro. The film's selection of tracks includes songs by artists such as Bob Dylan and Tom Jones, as well as a score by Ray Cooper.
Cooper is a session percussionist who has worked with George Harrison, Billy Joel, Rick Wakeman, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd and Elton John.
By the way, the Rolling Stones track "Sympathy for the Devil" plays a prominent role in the book, but it was not included in the film or soundtrack. The reason is simple: the copyright holders demanded 300,000 $ from the creators of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for the right to use the song in the film.
Below are the songs included in the official soundtracks. In total, 30 songs were performed in the film, but 14 of them are not on this vinyl, as well as in the previous ones. They decided not to include them in the soundtracks. So, as the film's slogan says: "Buy a ticket and go."
