Film "Death on the Nile." based on the novel of the same name Agatha Christie, the film contains many popular soundtracks and songs of different genres, which instantly immerse the viewer in the atmosphere of a criminal detective. They take place during a tour along the Nile of Egypt on a luxury motor ship. К Hercule Poirot a successful lady LynnetteLynette, who has recently married her ex-girlfriend's young man, wants the detective to keep her from pursuing the girl as she fears for her life. Lynnette realises the consequences, because Jacqueline harboured a grudge against her ex-girlfriend and her ex-fiancé.
Poirot refuses the offer, but in the end Jacqueline, having learnt about the tour, finds herself on the boat before the newlyweds. During the tour a boulder falls on one of the attendees, everyone suspects Jacqueline, but it turns out that she was on the boat at the time. Jacqueline then shoots her ex-fiancé in the leg, the gun disappears, the next day Lynnette is found dead, someone shot her in the head, taking away her string of pearls. Then the gun is found in the Nile, it turns out that two shots were fired from it. The next victim is a maid and another holidaymaker, and Poirot brilliantly solves the crime.
He proves that Lynnette was killed by Simon, her husband, who conspired with his lover Jacqueline to pocket his wife's inheritance and get rid of her. The finale of the premiere is sad, Jacqueline turns out to have a spare pistol and shoots herself and Simon on arrival at the harbour to avoid the gallows. Poirot claims he knew about the gun but out of sympathy allowed them to kill themselves. The film successfully diversifies the text of the source material to include drama and melodrama, and the acting is excellent, with beautiful costumes. The film will evoke different emotions in the audience, as it will be watched not only by fans.
