Tame Impala - Is It True (2020)
Impala mastermind Kevin Parker became the virtual musical guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night (May 11). Parker performed "Is It True" from his latest studio album, The Slow Rush. Parker, (actually three Parkers in three different outfits) played bass, guitar and sang in a colorful three-way split-screen picture.
As a reminder, Tame Impala released The Slow Rush in February, and have since released a fully remixed version of The Slow Rush in Imaginary Place, designed specifically to sound like it's playing in another room. Parker also collaborated with the Streets on "Call My Phone Thinking I'm Doing Nothing Better", marking the British rap project's first new single in nine years.

On August 6, 2020, Tame Impala released the official music video for the song Is It True, taken from their latest album The Slow Rush.
In the clip, Kevin Parker dances and sings, immersed in a psychedelic atmosphere reminiscent of the glitches and effects of old VHS tapes - the look and feel is similar to the visuals in Tame Impala live performances.
"Is It True" is the sixth single from The Slow Rush, following "Borderline", "It Might Be Time", "Posthumous Forgiveness", "Lost in Yesterday" and "Breathe Deeply".
The Slow Rush, released in February this year, became Tame Impala's second number one in their home country of Australia, while their previous album, Currents, was recently certified Platinum by the RIAA with over 2.5 million copies. sold all over the world.
Parker recently released a remixed version of The Slow Rush called "The Slow Rush in an Imaginary Place" for the quarantine era.
