On 23 April 2020, The Rolling Stones released their new single titled "Living In A Ghost Town"! Written more than a year ago - today the song about a ghost town has become iconic... The track has already received positive reviews from critics, and the captivating music video has been watched by millions of YouTube users!

"Living in a Ghost Town" - that's how the title of the sensational track translates - was the band's first single in four years, and their first original since "Doom and Gloom" and "One More Shot" (2012).
According to Jagger himself, the song is based on session recordings from 2019. "Living In A Ghost Town" is promised to complement the new album, which the band has been working on since as early as 2015....
In his interview with Beats 1 Radio, Jagger shared:
"...The song is about a place that used to be full of life! But now - it's completely devoid of it... I remember I was just playing guitar, and I composed the lyrics myself in 10 minutes. It was for our new album, which we were working on in our spare time at studios in London and Los Angeles. Why did we decide to finish this particular track as soon as possible? I think in the current situation around the world it's obvious. The song about 'Living in a Ghost Town' resonates with what's happening on the streets of most of the world right now..."
The band finds "Living In A Ghost Town" very meaningful in this situation... In his interview, Jagger also emphasised that some points in the lyrics were changed to better represent the pandemic.
About the album...
As for the new album, the band members are wasting no time! In quarantine, the Rollings are composing new future hits:
"We've got five more cool songs in store. Surprisingly, there's a soulful feel to each of them... There's nothing else for us to do now but write a couple more hits, right?" - Keith Richards revealed.

"Is it gonna be a good album? Noooo... It's not just going to be good. I want it to be amazing!" - said the band's frontman Mick Jagger.
FYI: Rolling Stone's last studio effort was A Bigger Bang, released in 2005.
Having been on the No Filter Tour since 2017, the band were forced to stop their programme due to the coronavirus outbreak... On April 18, The Rollings took part in Global Citizen's Together at Home, a large online concert to raise funds for health workers and the World Health Organisation in times of crisis. When the pandemic subsides - the musicians plan to resume their tour.
"Releasing a new single is a way to please fans who can't see us live... Also, it's a good advert for the new album!" - Jagger said.
