Give Peace a Chance

1 June 1969 in Montreal, John Lennon recorded his first solo composition called "Give Peace a Chance.". At this time, John meets his future sweetheart for the second time Yoko Ono.

The composition was produced by Phil Spectrum and managed to achieve huge success, conquering both the US and UK charts.

Another piece that was recorded on the Abbey Road. "Working Class Hero." is a hit that was part of the first record produced by the collaboration  Jonah Lennon и Plastic Ono. Album "Double Fantasy." was special in its own way. Not because it included some hit songs that won the hearts of the masses. This record was released just three weeks before Lennon's murder. Single "(Just like) Starting Over" achieved incredible success, topping the US and UK charts, but Lennon did not witness this achievement.

Woman

"Woman." - a work that Lennon dedicated not only to Yoko, but also to other female representatives of the female sex. The author did not live to see the release of the single, so he was killed a month before. In the last interview, which the musician gave to the magazine Rolling Stone a few days before the tragedy, John said: 

"The song reminds me of a Beatles track, but I didn't try to make it sound like that. I did it the same way I did 'Girl' years ago. So it's an adult version of 'Girl'.

Nobody Told Me

The single was originally planned to be released on the album Ringo Starr 1981, which is called "Stop And Smell The Roses". But it wasn't until 1984 that the track was released on the "Milk and Honey"which is presumably an extension of the plate "Double Fantasy.". The song won the hearts of many, making it popular both in Europe and overseas. The song reached number one in the top 5 of the chart in the US and number six in the UK.
