Tricky - I'm In The Doorway (feat. Oh Land, 2020)
25 August 2020 Tricky has released the single and video for "I'm in the Doorway" from his upcoming 13th studio album Fall to Pieces, due out on 4 September via False Idols. The tune, which follows previous singles 'Fall Please' and 'Thinking Of', features guest vocals courtesy of Danish singer and songwriter Oh Land (aka Nanna Øland Fabricius). The pair previously worked together on Tricky's songs "Right Here" (2014) and "I'm Not Going" (2016).
The Bristol-based producer and rapper is set to release his fourteenth full-length album on 4 September via his False Idols label.
Massive Attack's co-founder explained in a statement:
"With most of my stuff, there's nothing like that. But with 'Fall Please' and 'I'm In The Doorway' it's my version of pop music, the closest thing to pop music."
"I'm In The Doorway" arrives with an accompanying official video directed by Mateusz Miszczynski. In the clip, we see a female character driving through the countryside blindfolded.
