Full review of the long-awaited second studio album by Yulia Sievert "Vinyl #2"

Julia Sievert, better known to listeners as simply Zivert, is a Russian pop singer who gained popularity and love of the public in 2017 with hit tracks "Chuck" and "Anesthesia"! A year later, Julia released a loud hit "Life", which was played on the radio for a long time, and the video for it gained more than 100 million views in 2 years! In 2019, Zivert released her debut studio album Vinyl #1, and now, a few years later, its long-awaited sequel was released - the album Vinyl #2! The disc appeared on October 1, 2021, and, in fact, we will talk about it today!

Sound and style

Vinyl #2 - such a simple name was given to the second studio album of the singer Yulia Sievert, released on October 1, 2021! In total, it included 12 tracks, six of which (including "Cry", "YATL" and others) have already been released before… The album also includes duets with artists such as LYRIQ, Bo and Wiwo! Zivert herself described her new record as a "sincere child". Judging by the first comments that appeared on the Web after the release of the album, the listeners liked the composition the most. "Three Days of Love"

Lyrics, as always, about love! As for the sound, this time Sievert has moved away from disco in favor of bold experiments ... All tracks from Vinyl #2 have a pleasant melody with club shades... However, as fans have already noticed, this is radically different from the usual style of the singer:

“Definitely feels like vinyl! Really high-quality music…”, write Zivert fans in the comments.

Julia herself noted that vinyl records have their own special spirit, comparable to old black and white films:

“It is not the plot and the actions of the characters that are important here, but the coloring and frame construction ...”

About the shooting of the video "Cry"

Appearing on the official channel of the singer along with the album - October 1, 2021 - a video for the song Cry began to rapidly break records! In just the first few hours, his views reached the mark 2 million! As of October 10, the music video has been viewed over 6.3 million times… The number of “likes” speaks for itself: fans definitely liked the work, which, by the way, serves as a continuation of Yulia’s love story with a raccoon from Green Waves!

Aesthetic and rather interesting clip - the merit of the director Alana Badoeva! It is noteworthy that the video is a mini-replica of the cult film "Ghost" with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore starring…

“We have been preparing this story for you for two whole years! This is the most global and dear to our heart of everything that we have ever done ... This clip is my greatest pride, ”commented the singer.

Amazing Sievert...

However, there were some unpleasant and even health-threatening incidents! Julia's word:

“A week before the filming of “Cry”, we filmed a video for the song “Rocky” in St. Petersburg. All day long I was running a marathon in a hellishly cold city, in a summer suit and with a wet head ... The wind was very strong! When we finished work, and I went home, I felt something was wrong ... I got a hell of a fever, and my left cheek began to twitch. Already at home, I went to the mirror and saw that my cheek was swollen! She looked like a ball! I immediately went to my doctor, and he told me: “Cancel everything urgently! Your facial nerve is congested!” This is very dangerous, the usual facial expressions may not be fully restored, or half of the face will atrophy altogether ... And there are 5 days before the shooting of “Cry”! I'm shocked…"

Fortunately, thanks to timely treatment, everything worked out! And not only to him ... Sievert continues:

“The day before the shoot, my cheek was swollen again, and I was offered to cancel everything, but I said:“ No! Shooting will be! God help me, I know…” Falling asleep, I cried and prayed to the universe to do a little miracle for me, because I wanted this clip for so long and so much! I didn't know what was waiting for me in the morning. It remained only to believe in a miracle ... "

According to Yulia, in the morning she woke up and was in shock - this time with joy!

“I fell asleep with my face doubled in size, I woke up with my usual face and again thin! What is this if not a miracle?
