"Where Did You Go?" - joint single by Jax Jones and MNEK, which is created in the genre of 80s Eurodance: official music video, story of creation
Producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Jax Jones on 4 February 2022 released a new track titled "Where Did You Go?" featuring the lead singer MNEK.
Grammy-nominated artists team up to make the sound of an iconic genre eurodancewhich emerged in the late 1980s and reflected a collective desire to have fun and be happy after a period of strife in Europe.
An optimistic track that stays in your head for a long time, reflecting the mood of the authors. The lyrics of the song tell touching the story of finding the girl who left him alone on the dance floor while MNEK sings:
"I tried to find you but words can't describe you/Baby, only one dance ain't enough."
Which translates to:
"I tried to find you, but words can't describe you / Baby, one dance isn't enough."
The release is accompanied by a humorous music video featuring Jones DJing and making smooth moves with the unfazed the look on his face as archival footage of old raves and club nights plays behind his back.
"This song is a little different than mine," Jones said in a press release. - I like to experiment with my sound. I hope you like it!"
This isn't the first time Jones and MNEK have joined forces. In 2016, they worked together on one of Jones' earliest hits "House Work." and since then. wrote a lot of songs together.
Last year, Jones also released singles "Feels." и "Crystalise." featuring Jemima Cook.
