How Stas Mikhailov became famous

Now Stas Mikhailov is not as popular as he used to be. But just 10-15 years ago, perhaps every second woman and girl listened to his songs. He sang about love, about feelings and other poignant things. A kind of Arthur Pirozhkov of the past, only without silly vulgarities and with a more serious approach to creativity.

But why was he loved by women and how did he become popular? We decided to briefly retell the story of Stas Mikhailov's formation in this article.

Early years and first creativity of Stas Mikhailov

Stanislav was born in Sochi, his father was a pilot and his mother a nurse. There were no musical ancestors, and he was taught music by his brother, who later became a pilot. Mikhailov himself said that he studied at a music school, but left after two weeks.

When Stas Mikhailov returned from the army, he started singing in restaurants. This was in the late 80s and early 90s, when nobody knew about the musician. He also worked in a video rental shop and a recording studio.

His first, albeit small, fame came to him in 1992, when he went to Moscow and recorded the song "Candle". In 1997, he released an album with the same title and, although it failed miserably, it served as a starting point. Mikhailov was no longer a green musician, but an experienced musician. He took into account all the mistakes of his previous work and by the beginning of the noughties he had already produced the hit for which millions of girls loved him.

What song made Stas Mikhailov a star 

Already in the noughties the radio started playing the very song that made Mikhailov a star - this track was called "Without you.". The song was later included in Mikhailov's third album, 2004's Call Signs to Love. Despite the fact that it was the third, it was the first successful one, the others brought almost no fame. The song was mostly played on Radio Shanson. Stas Mikhailov's work is more like ordinary pop music.

Many people think that Mikhailov is a one-hit singer, but after this song he had many more high-profile hits - "All for you.", "Summer Girl", "Where you're not." and a lot of other hits. Of course, this music is not for everyone - that's why most of the artist's listeners are women who have been listening to him since the noughties.

Stas Mikhailov is still loved for this music, and because of this tickets to his concerts are sold out at high speed.
