It's about a touching composition "My clear star."which was born under completely random circumstances. There are many interesting things associated with this song facts, legends. and even tragedies. We decided to dispel the myths by evaluating the popular covers and to understand why this composition made Alexandra Loseva every time I shed a manly tear...
Inspiration in a single line
The story of this song began in the middle of 60-х: that's when it was published poem poets Olga Fokinato which the composer Vladimir Semyonov I stumbled across it quite by accident in the beginning 70-х. According to Vladimir Konstantinovich, once he looked in a bookshop out of curiosity. Flipping through the pages of Fokina's collection, a line caught his eye "People's songs are different, but mine is one for the ages.". Something about those words hooked the composer, and they soon became the beginning of a cult hit.
К Stas Naminthe leader of the ensemble "Flowers."This song came about as accidentally as it was born. Around the same time, the band had won the victory at the amateur art competition. The main prize minion tape on Melody! For this endeavour, Namin hired several professional musicians, including Sergei Dyachkov. He's the one who introduced Anastas Alekseevich (real name) with Semyonov. Thus, the song that became their loudest hit appeared in the VIA's repertoire.
Recording Through Tears
The recording day of "My Star is Clear" was accompanied by with tears and scandals. And it's all because of hockey! Namine later recounted how that very day, their lead singer. Alexander Losev intended to go to a hockey match - the USSR national team against Canada! A great spectacle that would be sacrilege to miss! Obviously, Losev hadn't planned to work on this important day for the whole country. But Namin had completely different plans....
"We couldn't postpone the session - there was no such opportunity. And Sashka started talking about hockey and hockey... I had to keep him in the studio almost by force! The atmosphere was terrible: he was very angry, upset... The song was not working, accordingly. But there was nowhere to go - it took thirty takes, but the recording was finished. With tears - Sashka cried all the time and left," recalled Namin.
As a result, the VIA "Flowers" record was recorded and after its release was a wild success: almost 7 million copies were sold out - a staggering figure for a Soviet ensemble!
Legend and tragedy
Upon release, the song quickly has become legendary. One of them said that "My Fair Star" was dedicated to a flight attendant. Nadezhda Kurchenkowho paid for her heroic bravery with her own life... The girl was trying to prevent aircraft hijackingbut ended up leaving this mortal world at the age of 20 years.
However, in his own words. authorhe didn't dedicate the song to this girl:
"Of course I was aware of this terrible tragedy, but in composing this song I did not connect the lyric to the story in question..."
But it's not just legends, either. personal dramas accompany this great creation. In Namin's words, Alexander Losev has been performing this song for a long time "worse than the record.". But since 1995 it has become too personal for the vocalist - sadly his only son has passed away Collie.
"Now this song is symbolic for me. I perform it in memory of my own son...," Losev once said.
