Eartha Kitt's cat success story
Ertha Kitt has been recognised in ParisShe appeared as a singer in a nightclub before returning to the United States to appear in films. She was particularly famous for recording the song "Santa Baby." in 1953, which is still considered a real favourite.
In the 60s, she became famous for playing the role of a character Catwoman in the hit television series Batman. However, once she publicly expressed her judgement Vietnam War at a luncheon with Lady Bird Johnson, her career began to slow down and lose popularity.

Ertha Kitt, who was born in northern South Carolina, has reached fame as a performer and film actress, but her early years were full of labours. In the French capital, Kitt is known as the talented singer through her performances in bars and clubs. It was there that she was noticed by a famous actor and director Orson Welles. Wells, recognising her as "the most remarkable woman alive", chose Kitt for the role of Helen of Troy in his . "Dr Faustus.".
Thanks to his performance in the Broadway "New Faces." in the early '50s, Kitt became a prominent young star. In this production, she sang a song "Monotonous."which attracted the attention of the public.
Her successful performance was the starting point point for a music career, and two years later she released her own debut record. It included data singles: "I Want To Be Evil", "C'est Si Bon", as well as the popular composition "Santa Baby".
Kitt appeared on cinema screens in the film "St. Louis Blues. (1958), where she co-starred with Nat King Cole. A year later, she was nominated for an award "Oscar." for playing the lead role in the film "Anna Lucasta". In this film, Kitt plays the role of a brave beautiful woman who has to resort to her attractiveness in order to survive, and Kitt plays here together with the Sammy Davis Jr..

In the early '70s, Eartha Kitt gained popularity largely due to her role as the villainess. Catwomen. For years, Kitt impressed everyone with her cabaret performances at a popular New York restaurant "Carlyle.". She was as marvellous and charming as she had been in her youth, when Ertha had been a in demand a star in Paris. With her unique vocals, charm and appeal, Kitt was able to mesmerise everyone around her.
Unfortunately, in 2006, Kitt found out about her diagnosis - a tumour in her colon, a disease that was fatal to her. Eartha passed away in December 2008.
