Jónas Berggren and his lifelong passion for music

In March 2023. Jónas Berggrenone of the founding members of Ace of Base, celebrated his 56th birthday. And he is still in good "musical shape"! In his interview with Billboard, he said that music has been his main passion since early childhood.

"I can't live without music because music is my life. I write one song a week and try to keep an eye out for new artists..."

In his personal life, he is also in good order: he is married, and in this union he had four children! He is mostly producing other artists, trying not to think about Ace of Base. Why not? When he was asked if his old band will ever reunite or at least record again, he said shook his head negatively.

"I'm sure: fans would love to see us, the original members, back together again. But my sister Lynne has no interest in that. That makes our reunion impossible - much to our regret..."

Lynn Berggren is a hottie who wasn't ready for fame.

Of all the former and current members of Ace of Base, no one has been more elusive to the media than the lead singer Lynn Berggren. The public remembers her as a charming blonde with a ringing voice, and some listeners still want to see Lynn back on stage! However... those dreams are not destined to come true. Today Lynn enjoys a quiet and measured life out of the public eye. The woman also does not give interviews, so all we know about her is the merit of her brother Jonas. And this is what he tells us:

"Lynne asked the other band members to never even ask her to come back, knowing full well that life in the spotlight was not something she enjoyed. I think she's done with the entertainment industry once and for all. And I understand that. It's a pretty brutal industry... Lynn has no craving for fame, she loved her fans, but the fame factor was not for her..."

Younas sees his sister often, but, according to him, they never even don't talk about music.

"We're just skirting the subject. Although to be honest - I'd really like Lynn to sing on one of my tracks. I realise it's a haunting dream... But I'd just love to do a little family collab like this - just for myself, without any promotion..."

Jenny Berggren has built a solo career

What about the third member of the Berggren dynasty? Unlike her older sister, Jenny genuinely loved the music industry. And decided not to stop even after the original line-up split... She may not have had the commercial success as a solo artist that she achieved with Ace of Base, but she still records and performs. In 2011, she premiered the song "Let your heart be mine" in the qualifying round of the Danish final for Eurovision 2011 and came second. Subsequently, fans dubbed it the best song of Jenny's career....

In general, Jenny is very open-minded and socially active. She has published an autobiography, is a volunteer and often speaks at charity events. This is despite the fact that in 1994, she was attacked by a man who had been assault! Some crazy groupie broke into her house. The victims included not only Jenny but also her mother. Luckily, there were no casualties. By the way: maybe this incident was the reason why Lynn chose to become a hermit - who knows....

Today, Jenny herself is mother of twoand the beautiful wife of the popular Swedish pianist Jakob Petren.

Ulf Ekberg has gone into marketing

It's hard to imagine a man immersed in music for years suddenly becoming... marketer. But an example Ulf EkbergUlf, the fourth original member of Ace of Base, proves that anything is possible in this world. When the two friends parted ways, Ulf continued to work on music production and songwriting - together with Jonas for a long time. He is still at it today, but in recent years he has become more and more interested in marketing.

In his interview, Ulf revealed that he helps several tech startups in Sweden and works on creating sectors that combine his passion for music and technology. As for his career as a marketer, Ekberg has worked with major companies such as BMW, IBM and Fiat. His website also states that he is currently a senior partner and executive vice president of the company Applied Transactionswhich specialises in part in "specialist areas in the natural resources, media and technology sectors".
