iHeartRadio - All about the music festival...

How did the iHeartRadio music festival gain such rabid popularity?

History of iHeartRadio Festival

Year after year, one of the biggest music festivals called iHeart captivates thousands of listening minds across Las Vegas! Since its inception in 2011, iHeart has been the most highly anticipated event in the world of music, and as evidenced by the number of tickets sold out. Every year, the most popular musicians gather on its stage, giving the audience a truly unforgettable weekend....

What is iHeartRadio?

iHeartRadio is an American platform for free broadcasting, podcasts and streaming radio. It was founded in 2008. Today it is owned by IHeartMedia - the largest radio broadcasting company in the world! It also started a tradition that is a favourite among music lovers: regularly hosting massive music shows in Los Angeles and New York, featuring the most popular artists according to listeners - from Elton John to Billie Irish!

The official website of iHeartRadio was launched in 2008. It is not only a collection of music content (including albums / clips / singles), but also a news feed, thanks to which you can find out about the latest happenings in the world of music business! There is access to more than 750 radio stations! So, any user can listen to their favourite station live! In addition, you can listen to podcasts, create playlists and much more... In iHeartRadio player you can rate tracks with "Like" / "Dislike" marks. In this way, you keep a feedback with the station you are playing. And if you don't like a song, it won't be played anymore. And vice versa - marking "Like" means that this track will be played more often. Very convenient!

Today, iHeartRadio is the largest radio station in America! It includes over 250,000 podcasts and allows listeners to save and play songs from live broadcasts in digital playlists... An undeniable advantage is the accessibility of iHeartRadio, which is supported by over 250 platforms and 2,000 devices, including smart speakers and gaming consoles!

iHeartRadio Music Awards

The iHeartRadio Music Awards recognise the most popular artists whose tracks have been listened to by a large number of users over the last year! In 2014, iHeartRadio launched the iHeartRadio Music Awards, an event that honours the most popular artists and their most requested works over the past year. Winners are chosen based on aggregate performance data, and the public is eligible to vote in several categories. The event was first held on 1 May 2014 at Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles. Winners in one category or another are presented with a trophy made by New York-based Society Awards.

As for the 2020 awards ceremony, the show was cancelled due to the pandemic... However, the winners were still announced! Let's talk about some of them....

Lizzo won Song of the Year for her hit Truth Hurts and also won Best New Pop Artist! She said: "I need to get in the studio right now because you make me feel like I need to release new music right now. So thank you guys so much. You all help my dreams come true... You make me smile and go forward!"

Sir Elton John is an absolute iHeartRadio legend. His "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" earned him the iHeartRadio Music Award as tour of the year! From his home, Elton accepted the award and explained that although touring has been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he hopes to complete the tour soon: "As you know, things have stopped because of COVID-19, but as soon as that passes, we'll go out and complete the tour!" The musician added: "Thank you to everyone who came to my shows in the first place..."

The fault is the assertiveness of one of her fans, who is trying in every possible way to get closer to his idol. The situation was resolved by the singer's husband, Liam Hemsworth.
