Musicians Prince hated - reasons and facts

To this day. Prince remains a mystery we haven't quite solved yet. He was special, to say the least, and many artists have encountered his caustic wit, which left them with mixed feelings. Even his own band was subjected to harshly criticised on his part, let alone other idols?
"He always demanded the best," said Prince's former manager, who was one of the few people who dared to respond to the musician one day "no.". This experience quickly taught the manager never to make such a mistake again, because the emotional pressure that Prince exerted verbally was not pleasant. Basically, we'd already realised that the performer had "Purple Rain" had high standards. But few people know that there were stars our hero literally hated - including Keith Richards! And here's why...
Keith Richards
In 2016, the drummer Rolling Stones Charlie Watts recalled the rock band's ordeal when they hired a rising star to perform for them as a warm-up act at the Los Angeles Coliseum. As Watts recalled:
"Mick and I loved Prince's 1980 album 'Dirty Mind' and Keith hated it. But we invited him to our show anyway. Of course, Prince is Prince! He came on stage in just his underwear and our fans booed him. But that didn't stop me from still loving him."
However, after that. Keith Richards became even more hostile to Prince. In 1988, he said:
"I think he's very clever at manipulating the music business and the entertainment business. I think he's doing it more than making music. I don't see the point in anything he does."
By this he cemented the enmity, and it was soon followed by the caustic comments - this time from Prince's side.
The Flaming Lips
Frontman The Flaming Lips Wayne Coyne felt the full force of Prince's dismissive attitude...and it hurt him. His band confronted the "Purple Rain" performer at the 2006 BRIT Awards, where Prince was scheduled to perform a four-song set along with The Revolution. Wandering backstage, the members of The Flaming Lips decided to approach Prince's bodyguard and give him a stack of their compact discs. As Coyne recalled:
"We were so excited about the opportunity to give Prince our music. But at the end of the night a bodyguard came and found us and returned all the discs. He said: "Prince doesn't want to hear this."
The very case when you realise: you'd better never have met your idol.....
Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran
Posthumous Memoirs Prince was overwhelmed by his enigmatic views of the world. He somehow mixed weasel sex appeal with religious spiritualism and more. This duality extended to his musical tastes as well. He liked the leads and the appeal contemporary popbut he hated the market nature of it.
In one comic passage, he particularly berated two stars.
"We need to tell the music supervisors that they keep shoving Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran down our throats and we don't like it!" he wrote.
Prince would probably be very surprised to learn that after his death, Perry wrote:
"The world has lost a lot of magic. Rest in peace, Prince! Thank you for giving us so much."
Adam Levine
Prince was known to dislike people covering his music. However, he made an exception for Foo Fightersby stating:
"They're so good they could do a whole album of my rock songs."
Unfortunately, Adam Levine wasn't given the same freedom. In fact, Prince hated the cover. Maroon 5 to your song "Kiss." and publicly stigmatised him. In his interview, he called the band "as stale as old bread", adding:
"Why do we need to hear another cover of a song someone else did? Art is about creating a new foundation, not just building something on top of what's already there."
Controversywas apparently another of Prince's specialities. Maybe that's why we loved him so much.
