Kanye West's "Donda 2." - аlibom 2022: video, photos, facts
Kanye West announced the release of the album "Donda 2" on his Instagram on 22 February 2022. According to the publication, Future will be the executive producer.
No other information was announced in this post, but the instagram picture did depicted the house is on fire and the album release date is written in text on top of the image.
On 10 January 2022, West released music video for the song "Heaven And Hell", which is one of 27 tracks on the 2021 album "Donda".
The video shows figures dressed in all black, with their faces covered with black cloth. As they do so, they move through the dark and gloomy city streets. Later, a figure, presumably West, appears in the midst of a swirling mass of bodies, which then form a slow-moving tornado high above the clouds.
The visuals end with the stills images of what resembles battle scenes in apocalyptic landscapes. The "Yeezy Gap" logo is also superimposed over the last few images, emphasising the rapper's new collaboration with clothing brand Yeezy, high street chain Gap and fashion house Balenciaga.
The "Heaven And Hell" video will be released right after the release of the upcoming "jeen-yuhs" documentary trilogy, which was released on 11 January. Premiere the first instalment of the three-part series will hit cinemas on 11 February, and will be available on Netflix a week later. The film will show the rap star in his early years, when he was trying to break into the music scene, and later when he was established of himself as a hip-hop icon. Official trailer from Netflix:
Coodie & Chike styled themselves as "jeen-yuhs" directors. They laboured with West on the 2003 music videos "Through The Wire" and the third version of "Jesus Walks." They noted:
"Filmed over more than two decades, the jeen-yuhs trilogy is an intimate and candid portrait of the Kanye experience. The series showcases both his formative days of trying to become famous and his life today as a global brand and artist."
