Klara Mikhailovna Rumyanova was born in 1929 in Leningrad. The girl spent her childhood in evacuation in the Kurgan region. In the 10th grade Rumyanova first thought about a career as an actress: she saw a film with a famous actress Lubov Orlovaand became famous throughout the Soviet Union. This was the birth of a big dream, which Clara decided to pursue at a rapid pace.

At the age of 18, Rumyanova decided to relocation to the capital and was immediately able to enter the most prestigious Russian university related to cinema. During one concert, which was organised by VGIK students during practice, Clara caught a bad cold and went to the hospital with a serious pneumonia. The student was cured, but lost her voice, and then there was a very difficult and long recovery process.

Rumyanova was still able to heal to the end, resume studying at VGIK, when she suddenly discovered that she could now speak in a very high-pitched.

All-Union fame - the main stages of Rumyanova's creative work

The first film where you can see Klara Rumyanova is called "Rural Doctor.". In the film, which was staged by her teacher Sergei Gerasimov, the girl played an episodic role of a woman in labour. It was in this film that the newly minted actress first demonstrated her unique voice at a high level.

However, later on, Rumyanova's acting career did not go according to plan. She quarrelled with the then general director of the film studio "Mosfilm."which blocked her all roads to the big cinema because of the refusal of the young actress from the lead role in an unattractive film for her. Rumyanova managed to star in a little more than twenty films, in which she performed supporting roles. The dream of becoming an actress of all-Union scale, like Lyubov Orlova, was cut short, but Klara Mikhailovna was not going to give up.
