Slava Marlow performed the famous Soviet hit "White Night"

"Today, the modern music market is overcrowded with rap music. For this reason, people get bored, they want variety, and they start listening to hits from past decades. And I can honestly say that the melodies of the 80s sound much more interesting - they charm, cause nostalgia ... Although the music of the 90s has its own charm".

How it was: Slava Marlowe and Therr Maitz - "White Night"

"White Night." - legendary Soviet hit band "Forum."which is well known to everyone. It was first heard in 1984 year, successfully completing the band's eponymous record. As time went on, its popularity only grew.

Many artists created their own versions, from slower and darker to danceable and rocker. But perhaps the most unique and interesting interpretation was a reprise of the song of Marlowe's fame - young Russian producer, beatmaker and performer.

In early December 2021, the popular musician. Anton Belyaev and his project "Lab." gave the listeners a great hit. Or rather, a new interpretation of a well-known hit song. It turned out really marvellous. The guest who gave his voice to the band's song was "Forum."became Glory Marlowe - young Russian beatmaker and performer. It is worth noting that vocal data Artyom Gottlieb (real name of the performer) perfectly complemented the musical number. Thus, the audience was presented a worthy reprise of the nostalgic hit of the 80s "White Night", which left no one indifferent.

When asked why exactly old compositions are so rabidly popular with the younger generation, Slava replied:

"Today, the modern music market is overcrowded with rap music. For this reason, people get bored, they want variety, and they start listening to hits from past decades. And I can honestly say that the melodies of the 80's sound much more interesting - they fascinate, cause nostalgia... Although the music of the 90's has its own charm".

"I didn't realise Slava had such a great ear. Very good at hearing the music and adjusting the style of the voice and vocals in general. Beautiful boy!"

The number really turned out to be quite soulful, atmospheric and beautiful. It is very pleasant to listen to Slava singing. Song "White Night." was a great test of his mettle, which he coped with brilliantly!

Glory Marlowe - young Russian beatmaker and performer. He was born in Novosibirsk, graduated from a music school in piano, and studied saxophone for a year. In 2018, he moved to St Petersburgbut a year later he was in Moscow. Today. Artyom Gottlieb many people only know because of the co-operation with Morgensternwhich is unfair. The artist has worked with many famous artists, as well as released a lot of solo tracks, which confidently climbed to the top of the charts.

"Today it's rare to meet an artist who would work hard on mixing and mastering. For me, this is one of the most important stages in the creation of a track," Slava confesses.

Also, in the opinion of the Marlow, today's music industry is in short supply of a uniquely recognisable voice:

"I've been doing anime voice-overs for several years. It was a useful experience, thanks to which I learnt to master my voice: to produce interesting sounds, to change my intonation in time... I think having a flexible, unusual voice is very important for an artist."
