For the last 10 years this American performer has risen to the status of a living legend of the 21st century: each of her videos is a work of art with a lot of references to pop culture of the past, and her appearances in public are a real performance! Gaga appears in a meat dress, or without it at all... In general, there is nothing surprising in the fact that her name occupies the leading pages of the world's top publications.

However, long before she ever took the stage, her own "queen of epatage" flourished behind the Iron Curtain. Zhanna Aguzarova. The lead singer of Bravo was famous for her eccentric image, which, combined with her strong voice and the rock 'n' roll genre she glorified, made her a real Soviet phenomenon! Zhanna captivated the audience with her spontaneity: she could go on stage in a huge man's jacket, with red hair and tie, in boots and wide pants... It was certainly grotesque for the domestic pop scene of those years.

And nowadays Jeanne has not lost her zest: her appearances in public are still as spectacular and disconcerting, although, unfortunately, rare. Why are we doing all this? The point is that for many years now the public has been comparing Aguzarova and Gaga, claiming that the American pop diva is totally and completely stolen the image of our star! And Jeanne herself has no doubts about it: according to her, the performer of "Bad Romance" owes her a debt. On whose side is the truth? Let's find out...

"How insolent!" - Aguzarova is outraged

Lady Gaga does resemble our Jeanne - oddly enough, even the facial features have some similarities... As some users joke (or maybe not):

"Looks like they're both from Mars!"

Their epathetic image is their main highlight: with the help of provocation, both performers were able to make a loud statement about themselves and surely inscribe their name in the annals of pop culture history. Recently, however, Jeanne has been relying more and more on her "American colleague" when talking to journalists, and not at all in a non-positive way…

Despite the fact that Aguzarova called Gaga "professional." ("Lady Gaga is as professional as I am"), in 2010, the domestic queen of epatage claimed in full earnest that Gaga owed her money and that she intended to sue her!

"She's so cheeky! She copied me exactly: image, style... Her whole image is a total borrowing!"

As if adding oil to the fire, Aguzarova's domestic fans supported her speeches, saying: "That's just the way it is". All this hype made Zhanna simply furious: at some point there were even rumors that allegedly the representatives of the "Martian" are ready to to sue Gaga for "stealing." Aguzarova herself stated that she was more than serious:

"I'm ready for the international courts! Because I know the primacy is with me..."

Thus, the ex-Bravo singer wanted to ban Gaga from using her stage image in Russia. However, the public suddenly split into two camps: some supported Zhanna, others were full of doubts....

"Does Gaga know about the existence of such a Russian Zhanna Aguzarova?" people wondered.

Now let's look at this whole situation a little bit. from a different anglea: do these ladies look alike at all? Yes, they are both epathetic, one can say freaky... The only difference is that in Jeanne it was laid from the very beginning, and Gaga's image is largely the merit of her stylists and management. In addition, according to Gaga herself, the main idol for her has always been Freddie Mercury - the iconic frontman of Queen, who was also characterized by increased eccentricity. And while we're on the subject, didn't the West have its own "freaks" before Jeanne? David Bowie alone is worth what, or, say, Brian Eno... If Gaga was inspired by anyone, it was rather her legendary compatriots, don't you think?

Undoubtedly: Zhanna became a phenomenon for the USSR, but as far as we remember - when she went to the USA, she was not so popular there. In fact, for a while she was moonlighting. limousine driverand there were times when she slept on the roof of a hotel because she had no money. If she had been a phenomenal act in America, she would have been a star there a long time ago! But why did that happen? Because the West has always had enough of its own "outsiders".

Yes: Aguzarova and Gaga really are. similar. But it's hard to claim that the latter was inspired by our star. It's like saying Adam Lambert was inspired by Kirkorov!

Why? The styles and demeanor on stage are very similar - both like to run in front of the audience crowned…

Of course, the public doesn't have any consensus on the subject. Some are sure that Gaga really copied Aguzarova:
