Tesla Boy - history of Russian electropop band

Tesla Boy - Russian electropop band, formed by in Moscow in 2008. A distinctive feature of the band are songs performed mostly in English. The first Russian-language single "Tesla Boy." became a track "The cold will go away."released in 2019 year. The leader of the Tesla Boy is a sound producer and musician Anton Sevidov. Today the band is well known and loved not only in their home country, but also in many other countries around the world, including the USA! But... where did it all start? The beginning of the journey

The history of this band has its origins in the capital of Russia - in Moscow! The leader of the project is sound producer Anton Sevidov. The electropop band began their rise with a demo record "The Tesla Boy EP". Sevidov would later say:

"We recorded most of the EP at my house, using old synthesisers - such as a 1984 Roland Juno-60, for example! Some of the material we came up with at the rehearsal base, some in the studio..."

After releasing a mini-album, the band started touring the country! At first it was small concerts, but everything changed after a performance in a club "Mio.":

"It was our first open concert, and after that they started talking about us..."

First success

Shortly thereafter. Tesla Boy have received a tempting offer from a label Mullet Records: the guys were offered to release one more mini-album. So, another mini album was released EP... After that the band again performed around Russia - this time at large festivals like STEREOLETO! Songs Tesla Boy infiltrated AIR FORCEand soon Tesla were recognised as the best band by some magazines!

First full-length album Modern Thrills proved to be a good springboard to Olympus for the young band, as shortly after its release. Tesla Boy went on tour to Barcelona... Later the band visited Norway, and the main hits of that year were "Spirit of the Night" and "Fire.".

В 2011 The band toured Scandinavia in the year and also released the hit song "In Your Eyes" on a French label Kitsuné. During this period, Tesla Boy also performed at the warm-up show Hurts…

New journeys and new heights

The year 2012 turned out to be Tesla Boy on a US tour: the band performed in Webster Hall and at the festival Full Moonand a single was released shortly thereafter "Fantasy."whose music video has racked up hundreds of thousands of views:

2015 the year was not only notable for the release of the single. "Nothing."but also the band's first ever acoustic concert in St. Petersburg…

subsequently Tesla Boy were once again invited to Urgant's talk show: this time the guests presented their new single entitled "Avoid."! The track wasn't officially released until the beginning of the new - 2017…

In 2018, the Tesla Boy worked hard and released an album Remedy! According to the musicians, the work on the record was carried out in many corners of the Earth. from Moscow to Prague, London to Bali.... The hit single was the song "Compromise."The music video was directed by Alexander Gorchilin:
