"Whiskey In The Jar"

Created sometime in the first half of the 17th century, this traditional Irish folk song has been performed over the years by many different titans of rock and folk - from The Seekers to Jerry Garcia and even Metallica! However, Thin Lizzy's interpretation is still the most recognisable and favourite...
"The Boys Are Back In Town"

"Jailbreak."
This is one of the few Irish band tunes to have been played on US radio over the years. However - even today, the song can be heard on "classic" wavesand not just in America.
It's a phenomenal track: several ominous verse is followed by a triumphant chorus before the climax... The twin guitars of Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson blend together perfectly! This is a clean, very rock 'n' rollthat you can't get out of your head!

It's a song that almost defies categorisation, but one that quickly caught the public's fancy, breaking into the UK top 20!
Lynott wasn't entirely sure about the track, released at the height of punk. He feared accusations of softening by loyal fans. However - there were indeed few "malcontents". With the help of. "Dancing in the Moonlight" Phil has shown that (as critics have emphasised):
