In August 2020, the YouTube channel StarPro published a music video for a joint track by Alexander Gudkov and DJ Groov - "Snob". The title speaks for itself: the song and the video itself mock the vices of modern man... "Everything is not the same... And I'm not the same!" - sings Gudkov.
About the clip
The video was directed by Oleg Asadulin and produced by Evgeny Rudin, aka DJ Groove.
In the video we can see actor Sergei Burunov, as well as famous blogger Andrei Borisov.
The plot is banally simple: the main character, played by Alexander Gudkov, is streaming from fashionable places in the capital, a restaurant, a club... But he does not like anything: neither the cuisine, nor the design, nor the music... "Snob", who is not satisfied with everything - that's how you can characterise our hero.
"'SNOB is a subtle way to ridicule a current vice of modern man. In each of us sometimes wakes up this very Snob, to whom #vsyoneto" - says the description of the video.

DJ Groove: "The idea of the track "Snob" appeared quite spontaneously... All of us, without noticing it, sometimes behave like real snobs: pretentiousness, egoism and cynicism - sometimes these qualities awaken in each of us... In the modern world everything quickly gets boring, boring... And sometimes we behave like spoilt fashionistas, to whom "everything is wrong". And that's okay. The song was recorded as a self-irony on the evil of the day...".
Alexander Gudkov: "My hero is an old-school personality who visits various prestigious places, but... everything is wrong for him! A very real Muscovite in the bad sense of the word!"
Many people especially liked the ending! Our Snob finally pisses off the DJ (Sergei Burunov), and gets a decent response!
Andrey Borisov: "As for me, everything turned out very cool! There were real professionals in the team, and I tried to live up to them. There was an incredible number of takes, and in each one I gave 100%! I was so nervous that I even made an appointment for chiropractic care after the shoot..."
Sharing his impressions of the shoot, Gudkov stated that "the clip is about everything, but at the same time about nothing...":
"We tried to focus all our attention on the life, everyday life of the modern generation. Ours is an age of activism, not silence. The age of manifesto and activism!"
