After all, in many ways these collectives influenced the subsequent generations of artists: on their style, sound, pitch. And the songs are still actively played on the radio, which once again proves the importance of these projects.

The latter track remains to this day the most recognisable tune of the early noughties.
"Smash!!!"
This pop duo, which included. Sergey Lazarev и Vlad Topalov (as well as a backing vocalist Kirill Turichenko), did not exist for a long time. The band was formed in the early 2000s, but in 2004 it ceased to exist. Nevertheless, even this period was enough for the public to remember the band. "Smash!!!" for decades to come. Some of the band's most notable tracks include "Belle." и "Prayer."
At the time of the group's foundation, its members were very young and underage: Topalov was only 15 and Lazarev was 17. Before "Smash!!!" they performed together in "Neposeda". The idea to form a duet came from Vlad's mother, at whose insistence the friends recorded a song from a musical together "Notre-Dame de Paris". The band's first music video was for the song "Should have loved you more." in Thailand. Shortly afterwards, the guys won first place in the New Wave young performers' contest in Jurmala. The breakup of the promising project occurred after the release of the second album "2nite".It is worth noting that after "Smash!!!" both members were able to build a brilliant solo career.
"KGB."
The name of this group came from the first letters of the surnames of its members: Kireev, Golubev, Barsukov. The producer of the project was Viktor Drobysh. "KGB." played in the styles of pop-rock and hard pop and quickly found their audience. The song "I won't give you away" became one of the most famous songs in the repertoire of the group.

The duo got its name for a reason, as it was founded by twin brothers Boris и Konstantin Burdaev. The band maintained its popularity for a long time, but it eventually went downhill. In March 2009, Konstantin published a statement on the official website about the breakup of the Brothers Grim. Boris did not oppose his brother's decision, and subsequently each of them built a fruitful solo career.
"Factor 2."
Group "Factor 2." stands out a bit from our list by the fact that it was founded in Germany in the late 90s. Nevertheless, this Russian-German musical pop-rap project was very popular in the 2000s. The project was created by Ilya Podstrelov и Vladimir Panchenko in Hamburg.
The success story for Faktor-2 began with their debut record "Beauty": it was a success with the Russian public, and soon the guys started to cooperate with the Sergei Zhukov from "Ruki Vververkh!"who became their producer. At the same time, the duo had producers who were engaged in promotion in Germany: these are DJ Vital (Vitaly Moser) and Vadim Eichwald.
In 2012, Ilya and Vladimir announced that they would stop working together. And after that "Factors" became really two: in Germany Vladimir and Denis Panchenko perform under this name, and in Russia - Ilya Podstrelov and Andrey Kamaev.
"Revolvers."
And rounding out our list is a group "Revolvers.". It was founded in the late 90s, but popularity came to the boy band with the onset of the noughties, after the release of the song "You're the only one I've got.":
After that, the band won not only the love of the public, but also the "Golden Gramophone"! After "Revolvers" were invited by Alla Pugacheva to "Christmas meetings", but at the peak of popularity the line-up was left by Andrey Potekhin. From that moment the success of the project began to fall rapidly.
