Redfoo - New Thang (Skezz Phonic Remix) - "Shake you body baby girl"
The song "New Thang" was released in 2014. The composition belongs to the American musician Redfoo, a former member of LMFAO (the duo stopped performing in 2012). Redfoo is a singer, DJ and dancer. Since 2013, he has a solo career. New Thang is the first single from his debut album Party Rock Mansion. Upon release, the song peaked at number 3 on the Australian Singles Chart.
The music video for "New Thang" was released on August 24, 2014 on the Redfoo YouTube channel. The video was filmed in Santa Clarita. It starred beautiful girls in bright neon colors and Sergio Flores, a sexy shirtless saxophonist.
Redfoo had this to say about the clip:
“As usual, it will have a little humor and a lot of sexuality. You know I don't cure cancer... But what I do... I do my best to spread happiness as an artist. I want people to feel good."
Redfoo performed the song live on The X Factor Australia results show on September 1st, where he is also a judge/mentor. He performed the song at the debriefing on September 1, 2014.
The lead single from Redfoo's debut studio album Party Rock Mansion was a big Down Under hit, peaking at No. 3 in both Australia and New Zealand.
Redfoo explained the meaning behind the AT40 song:
“New Thing is a song about a period of time when you break up with someone. I broke up with my girlfriend and I went back to hunting. Now I'm back on the hunt. And I wanted to let the ladies know that you could be my new “thing”. And it's just an expression of tenderness."
Song remix and new TikTok popularity: Skezz Phonic - New Thang ("Shake you body baby girl")
In 2020, the song has a second life. A well-known rapper named Skezz Phonic created a startling remix of the song "New Thang", which broke into the music charts and Tik Tok trends ("Shake you body baby girl ... Earthquake, Earthquake ... Get sexy ... Get sexy").
It's pointless to talk about the song here, but a couple more words about the creator. Here is a description of myself in the 3rd person from the author of the remix…
“Jordanian rapper, MC and music producer Skezz Phonic combines intense and fiery themes of power, passion, lust, remorse and turns them into specific parts of the song, guided by the foundations laid by the fathers of the old and new schools of hip-hop. His music can be described as heartfelt stories that take your mind through a journey of deep introspection, as opposed to infectious beats and hooks that keep the listener coming back for more. Stylistically, Skezzphonic's music echoes the influences of some of the greats such as Dr. Dre, Michael Jackson and many more."
